FOWH provides award-winning equipment to support care in Warminster

Warminster Hospital has taken delivery of a brand-new OM Interactive Ltd motion-activated interactive projector system for use by the older people care team.  The Friends of Warminster Hospital committed to providing this system just before Covid lockdown but the restrictions have meant that the equipment has only just been delivered.

The projector uses light and motion sensors to allow interaction with moving images projected onto either a table or the floor.  There are ball games, quizzes, puzzles and many, many more programmes and games preloaded onto the software.  All the programmes are designed to provide mental stimulation and physical movement of the head, arms and legs.  The care team can also programme the system to help with individual challenges and needs.

This piece of equipment will be invaluable to the care team and will provide many people with a new dimension to their care and support.

The Friends of Warminster Hospital are delighted to be able to fund equipment like this but we need the community to contribute.  If you would like to support the work, we do then please visit our fundraising page here.
